The Washington Post’s Newsprint shows you what’s unique about your reading in the past year.
Why am I seeing a message that says I don’t have enough reading history?
If you're seeing a message that we don’t have a Newsprint for you, either you haven’t read enough or you opted out of features like this. Things that might affect how much you’ve read include if you are:
- New to The Post, or you haven’t signed in this year
- Currently signed out
- Accessing The Post through an app store subscription and have not linked your account to The Post
- Using a different account
- Using an ad blocker or privacy tool
- Opting out of app or data tracking
You can still enjoy Newsprint by answering a quiz about your reading style. Continue reading next year and look out for future Newsprints.

I think I’m missing some parts of my Newsprint.
Depending on your reading history, you may have more or less insights in your Newsprint.
I don’t recognize my top author or topic. How are they calculated?
We take multiple factors into consideration, including both how much you and others have read an author or topic.
Why do I have more authors than stories?
Our newsroom is highly collaborative and multiple authors often co-write stories.
How are my Newsprint insights calculated?
Your Newsprint bases its insights on this year’s reading history, which includes stories you’ve visited. A story refers to any article, audio, video, blog or interactive story we publish.
What timeframe does my Newsprint cover?
Your Newsprint calculates insights based on this year’s reading history, up until a few weeks before the end of the year so we have time to deliver it to you.
