Your Personal Podcast is a personalized, AI-generated news podcast available within The Washington Post app. It creates a conversational episode tailored to your selected topics, reading history, preferred hosts, and chosen duration.
This feature is not a traditional editorial podcast. Instead, it’s an AI-powered tool designed to help you catch up on the news quickly and efficiently. All content is generated from Washington Post articles.
Here’s how it works:
- In the Washington Post app, subscribers and registered users can access "Your Personal Podcast" through the Habit tile or the Listen tab.
- From there, you can personalize your podcast by selecting your preferred topics, choosing your AI hosts, and setting your episode length. (Please note: during the beta period, episode duration is limited to a maximum of 8 minutes.)
After you start listening, you’ll soon have the ability to ask follow-up questions to dive deeper into the topics covered.
Previous episodes appear in the Listen tab > Your Personal Podcast.
Edit/Customize your settings:
All podcast settings are personalized automatically based on your reading history. To make changes, tap the "Edit Podcast" button at the bottom of the screen.
From there, you can customize your Topics, Hosts, and Duration.
